A frontline aspirant for the Ife Federal Constituency, Babatomiwa Babalola, has commended Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for the execution of road projects in Ife South Local Government Area.
Babalola, popularly known as Alatunse, said the ongoing road construction and rehabilitation across the council area showed the administration’s commitment to grassroots development.
In a statement on Tuesday, he noted that the improved road network had boosted economic activities, improved security, and enhanced access to education and healthcare services in the area.
He listed some of the projects to include the Oritamerin–Ayesan–Chief Omopo–Jagilegbo Road in Ifetedo, the rehabilitation of St Patrick’s RCM School Road, also in Ifetedo, and the reconstruction of the Ife–Ondo Road linking Erefe Junction, Molodo and Isoya villages.
Other projects, according to him, are RCM Road One in Alafia, Ifetedo; the upgrade of the Osun State University Road at the Ifetedo campus; and the 58-kilometre Agoda–Olode–Tangbori–Ogbaagba Road, which he said has improved inter-community connectivity and commercial activities.
Babalola said the projects reflected the fulfilment of campaign promises and demonstrated responsive governance by the Adeleke administration.
He added that communities across Ife South had benefited from what he described as the dividends of democracy.
“As the people continue to witness these developments, it is clear that continuity is required to sustain the progress made so far,” he said.
Babalola urged residents of Ife South and Osun State to support Adeleke’s re-election bid in the 2026 governorship election, saying sustained support would ensure the completion of ongoing projects and further development of the state.
