A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has dismissed a suit seeking the disqualification of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State as the All Progressives Congress candidate in the governorship election holding in the state on Saturday.
Justice Inyang Ekwo, describing the plaintiff’s prayer as gross abuse of court process, said that Moshood Adeoti, the plaintiff, failed to back his claims with relevant laws, and as such, showed no cause of action in the suit.
The judge added that the suit was at variance with Section 87(9) of the Electoral Act and Section 22 of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
