About 10 people were allegedly killed in a clash between rival cult groups in Ilesa, Osun State.
It was reported that the rival cult groups clashed at Brewery, Ifofin, Idasa and Irojo areas of the town, leaving many casualties in its trail.

The fight later spread to other parts of the town identified as strongholds of the cultists.
Said Azees, “Some guys on motorcycle suddenly started shooting around Irojo inflicting injuries on residents of the area who scampered for safety.
“In what looks like a revenge attack, another set confronted them and both groups engaged in shootout.
“Other cultists from other hideout joined in the fracas thereby spreading the crisis to other parts of the town. About 10 people were killed in different areas of the town, majorly cult members.”
