Members of the Obidient Movement in Oyo State are set to hold a general meeting aimed at strengthening the structure and grassroots presence of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across the state.
Organised in collaboration with the Obidient Diaspora and themed, ‘Making ADC a household party in Oyo State,’ the meeting is scheduled to take place 10am at the ADC State Secretariat, Veterinary area, Mokola, Ibadan, on Saturday.
Alhaji Yinka Olona, Oyo State Chairman of the party, is expected to attend as a key speaker alongside other party executives and members of the state working committee.
According to the organisers, the gathering is designed to mobilise members, strengthen party coordination and expand the ADC’s grassroots support base ahead of future political engagements.
In respect of the meeting, the event announcer, Jimoh Alfred, said the programme would provide a platform for members and supporters to deliberate on strategies for deepening political participation in the state.
Alfred said, “This is more than just a meeting; it is a call to action for everyone who believes that a new Nigeria is possible. We are committed to building a stronger ADC in Oyo State and ensuring the party becomes a household name.”
A major highlight of the event will be the sponsorship of 100 free ADC membership registrations by the leadership of the Obidient Diaspora.
Alfred noted that the initiative forms part of efforts to promote inclusiveness and encourage wider participation in the party.
“The free membership registration demonstrates our commitment to growth and inclusiveness. We want more people to come on board and be part of the movement for positive change,” he added.
Organisers have therefore urged party members, supporters, and Obidient Movement adherents across Oyo State to attend the meeting and actively participate in discussions shaping the future of the ADC in the state.
