The three deceased Obas are the Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula and Alayetoro of Ayetoro, all in Oriire Local Government Area.

The late monarchs were said to be on their way to attend the burial ceremony of the mother of one of their colleagues (a traditional ruler), the Oloolo of Oolo, Oba Oyebunmi Ajayi when the tragedy struck.

Checks revealed that the crash occurred as the vehicle in which they were travelling rammed into an oncoming truck.

The Olodogbo was confirmed to have died on the spot while the other two Obas were said to have passed away hours after the mishap.
A source at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital Ogbomoso, who preferred anonymity, confirmed the incident, saying that their bodies had been deposited at the hospital morgue.

Our reporter learned that the fourth victim of the crashz who sustained some injuries, is being treated at the hospital.

However, the source said, “but he doesn’t look like an Oba,”

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo State Command, has yet to confirm the incident as it was gathered that available information on the tragedy is still sketchy.
