Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who represents Oyo South District in the National Assembly, has lamented the death of a federal lawmaker, Musiliu Olaide Akinremi, representing Ibadan North federal constituency.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, made available in Ibadan, on Wednesday, Alli described Akinremi L’s death as a significant loss to the nation, his family, the All Progressives Congress, his friends and the political circle in Oyo State.
The statement lauded Akinremi’s dedication to public service, his commitment to the welfare of his constituents and his tireless efforts in representing Ibadan North federal constituency.
It read, “Rep. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi was a beacon of hope and a pillar of strength for many. His passion for improving the lives of those he served was evident in his numerous initiatives and projects aimed at fostering development and uplifting the underprivileged.
“His demise is a great loss that leaves a void in our hearts and in the annals of our political history.”
In the statement, the lawmaker extended condolences to the Akinremi family, the Federal House of Representatives, the National Assembly, the APC, his friends and the people of Ibadan North Local Government Area.
Urging them to find solace in the remarkable legacy that Akinremi left behind, it stressed, “In this time of grief, may we draw strength from his exemplary life and continue to uphold the values he stood for.”
Alli called for prayers and support for Akinremi’s family during this challenging period.
He also stressed the importance of unity and collective efforts in honouring the memory of a dedicated public servant whose life was marked by unwavering commitment to the betterment of the society.
