Senator Sharafadeen Alli from Oyo South District has expressed profound grief over the passing of Chief (Dr.) Amos Adepoju, the Asiwaju of Igboora land and father of Rep. Anthony Adepoju, describing his demise as a monumental loss to Ibarapa and Oyo State at large.
In a condolence message personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan, Alli paid glowing tribute to the late Chief Adepoju, whom he described as a rare gem, a father figure, and a patriotic leader whose life of service remained exemplary.

“We lost a gem, a father and a patriotic leader. Our father, the Asiwaju of Igboora land, lived a life worthy of emulation. He was a committed and dedicated leader who used every position he held to serve God, humanity and the Ibarapa community,” Alli stated.
The Senator recalled the various landmark roles held by the late Asiwaju, including Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan; Chairman of 3SC/IICC; Resident Electoral Commissioner in Nasarawa State; Administrative Secretary of the Peoples’ Conscience Party (PCP); Pioneer National Financial Secretary of the PDP; and Commissioner at the Board of Immigration, Civil Defence, Correctional and Fire Service.
Alli extended his condolences to Rep. Anthony Adepoju, the Adepoju family, the people of Igboora, and the entire Ibarapa land, praying that Almighty God would grant the departed eternal rest and comfort the bereaved.
