Men of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested the suspected rapist and killer of Azeezat Somuyiwa, the pregnant woman who was raped and killed by a yet-to-be-identified hoodlum in Ibadan, the state capital.
It was gathered that Somuyiwa was hit with a stone by an unknown assailant after being raped at her residence, at Aba Ijefun in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Olugbenga Fadeyi, said, “A suspect has been arrested with respect to Somuyiwa’s murder.
“We are currently on the investigation of Barakat Bello’s death.
“We are intensifying efforts to arrest other suspects linked with both incidents.”
According to him, the suspect is providing useful information to assist us in their investigation.
