The acting General Manager of the radio station, Mr Ayo Emmanuel-Ojo, said the anniversary celebration was deliberately structured as a service-oriented programme rather than a conventional festivity, in appreciation of the audience that has supported the station since its inception.

Emmanuel-Ojo noted that WellsRadio’s identity as a family-focused station comes with the responsibility of engaging families beyond the airwaves, adding that healthy families remain central to the station’s mission and values, in line with the vision of its founder and Chief Executive Officer, Evangelist Lillian Bademosi.

The anniversary activities, tagged Family Health Week, will run from Wednesday, January 14 to Saturday, January 17, 2026, and will feature free medical and wellness services for residents of Ibadan, with special focus on families, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups.

Activities commenced on Wednesday, January 14, with a health walk from the WellsRadio 89.3 FM premises on Alaafin Avenue, Oluyole Estate, to the High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan.

On Thursday, January 15, residents are expected to benefit from free eye care services to be provided by Makkah Specialist Eye Hospital at Elebu Junction, Akala Expressway, Ibadan.

The programme will continue on Friday, January 16, with physiotherapy care and a health talk for the elderly, to be facilitated by Premiere Physiotherapy, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan.

The week-long celebration will climax on Saturday, January 17, with general medical care services to be offered by Zoe Specialist Hospital, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan. All medical services are scheduled to commence daily from 10:00 a.m.

WellsRadio 89.3 FM, branded as “Your Preferred Wholesome Radio,” has remained consistent in delivering family-oriented, value-driven, and safe content, reinforcing its commitment to purposeful broadcasting and meaningful community impact.
