AKINWALE ABOLUWADE
Senator Sharafadeen Alli representing Oyo South District at the National Assembly has congratulated Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade on his emergence as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo, describing his selection as divinely ordained.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, and made available to journalists in Ibadan on Monday, Alli commended the new monarch’s approval and formal presentation of the staff of office.
The senator, who holds the title of Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, expressed optimism that Prince Owoade’s reign would bring unity, peace, and development to the historic town of Oyo.
Alli, a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, noted that the new Alaafin’s dedication to Oyo’s progress was evident even before his intention to ascend the throne became public.
“I am confident that his reign, following the completion of traditional rites and coronation, will usher in a new era of unity and rapid development for Oyo,” Alli stated.
The senator highlighted the Alaafin-designate’s impressive credentials, including his corporate experience, integrity, and cultural depth, which he described as qualities that have endeared him to many.
He further wished the new monarch a long and prosperous reign, praying for good health, wisdom, and divine blessings to guide his leadership.
