A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has assured that the people of the state will not regret returning the party to power in the 2026 governorship election, citing an existing governance blueprint designed to meet public expectations.
Oyintiloye gave the assurance during a consultation visit by one of the party’s governorship aspirants, Bola Oyebamiji, to Obokun Local Government Area of the state.

He explained that the APC is fully prepared to govern effectively, leveraging the comprehensive needs assessment carried out during the administration of former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and documented by the state’s civic engagement agency.
“The blueprint to hit the ground running was put together toward the end of Oyetola’s administration. Our incoming governor will have a solid start with that document, along with other initiatives currently being fine-tuned,” he said.
In his remarks, Oyebamiji, who is the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority, emphasized the need to revisit the documented needs of communities across the state.
He pledged to revive the civic engagement agency to strengthen the connection between the people and government, adding, “The administration of our leader, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, invested in collating the needs of the people. That document is still relevant. Let’s be patient; we shall revisit it and work to implement its content.”
Oyebamiji also promised to prioritise the welfare of civil servants, artisans, and other key groups if elected governor.
Expressing optimism about the APC’s chances in the August 8, 2026 election, he said he was confident of defeating the incumbent governor if given the party’s ticket. He appealed to residents of Obokun for their support in his bid to lead the state.
