The inhabitants of Agada community in Lanlate, in Ibarapa East Local Goverment Council Area, have applauded Senator Sharafadeen Alli over the provision of a borehole in the area.
The people expressed their gratitude during the inauguration of the new borehole on Thursday in Lanlate, Oyo South Senatorial District.
Akeem Abas, Special Adviser (Media) to the senator, wrote in a statement that the people were glad about Alli’s efforts.
The statement read that this is the 38th of the 100 water projects promised to constituents by the senator representing the senatorial district within one year of his swearing in.
Moshood Jimoh, representative of the Park Management System, New Garage, Agada, was quoted in the statement to have appreciated the senator for his kind gesture to the community.
Jimoh prayed that God should bless the federal lawmaker in order to do more.
Lanre Olaosegba, a former Vice Chairman, and Segun Ojediran, APC Chairman in Ibarapa East Local Government, also commended Alli for the initiative.
Alli, who was represented on the occasion by Dr Sarafadeen Agbogun, said the borehole project at Lanlate was aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the people in the area, especially during the dry season.
According to him, the water project would equally assist the Lanlate New Garage Motor Park and environs.
“We will execute more projects within the senatorial district before the end of my tenure,” Senator Alli was quoted as saying.
Among others, the event was attended by Bayo Aderounmu, Sikiru Ogunyaju, Ademola Omileke, Adeleke Raji, a former chairman, Ibarapa East Local Government, Gbenga Abegunde and Taiwo Dahunsi.
Also in attendance were Gbemisola Ademola, Moshood Lateef, Ismail Olaosegba, Jolaoso Shereef, Sunday Gbadebo, Mariam Abegunde and Alhaji Mukaila Adewole.
