The founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has called for the public trial of the suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, as well as the periodic publication of names of corrupt officials in the country.

Maharaj ji made the call in Ibadan after an event marking the 40th anniversary of his movement and the 27th year of his declaration of “No war in Nigeria.”

He said, “The (acting) EFCC chairman’s trial should be made public where all news media will be in attendance to show how serious (President Muhammadu) Buhari is in attacking this unnecessary menace threatening the progress of the nation and continent.

“We would like to beg the President to order the periodic publication of names of those who stole and money refunded  by force or plea bargaining.

“Mr. President will make his journey successful if he can ban public display of pornography materials of any kind. Anybody caught liable (should be put) to 25 years imprisonment without option of fine.”

On the recent calls by some groups for secession by the Yoruba, he said, “No power can shake or dismember Nigeria’s nationhood

“I am calling on Nigerians to eschew their differences and refrain from acts that will exacerbate acrimonious tendencies among the various constituent nationalities.”
