AKINWALE ABOLUWADE
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has donated a brand-new Toyota Camry to Mrs Rachael Folake Alamu, the Principal of Community High School, Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area, in recognition of her courage and resilience after surviving a kidnapping ordeal.

Mrs Alamu was among the teachers abducted alongside pupils during the May attack on Community High School, Esiele, and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School in Oriire Local Government Area.
While in captivity, she was reportedly forced by the kidnappers to appear in several video recordings used to communicate with the outside world and press their demands.
Presenting the vehicle, Senator Alli praised Mrs Alamu for her exceptional bravery, composure and unwavering commitment to the safety and welfare of the abducted pupils throughout the traumatic experience.
He described the donation as a token of appreciation for her courage and a demonstration of solidarity with victims of insecurity, expressing hope that the gesture would aid her recovery and encourage her as she returns to her professional duties.
The abducted pupils and teachers were eventually rescued after spending several weeks in captivity, bringing relief to their families, the Oriire community and Oyo State as a whole.
Residents and stakeholders in Oriire Local Government applauded the senator’s gesture, describing it as a compassionate intervention and a fitting recognition of the sacrifices, dedication and resilience of teachers serving under difficult circumstances.
