Senator Sharafadeen Alli, representing Oyo South Senatorial District, has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, the Alaafin of Oyo, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
In a statement released by his media office on Friday in Ibadan, Senator Alli described the monarch as a beacon of royalty, wisdom, and cultural heritage, commending his leadership since ascending the throne.

The senator, who also holds the traditional title of Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, praised Oba Owoade for his unwavering commitment to the preservation of Yoruba culture, as well as his efforts in promoting peace and unity across the Oyo Kingdom.
“Oba Owoade’s reign has been marked by visionary leadership, cultural revival, and a deep sense of responsibility towards the welfare of his people,” the statement read. “He has demonstrated courage, maturity, and compassion in steering the affairs of the ancient stool, fostering harmony and development in Oyo and beyond.”
Senator Alli also lauded the monarch’s contributions to youth empowerment, community development, and justice delivery, noting that the entire kingdom continues to benefit from his progressive leadership.
He offered prayers for the royal father’s continued good health, wisdom, and long life, while urging the people of Oyo to support him in sustaining the rich legacy of the Alaafin.
Describing the monarch as a father figure and symbol of dignity, Alli extended his heartfelt wishes for a joyful celebration and many more years of impactful service to Yoruba land and humanity.
