Senator Sharafadeen Alli, representing Oyo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has congratulated Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, on the occasion of his 90th birthday and first coronation anniversary.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Ibadan, Senator Alli, who is the Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, described the monarch’s reign as peaceful, impactful, and a great blessing to the people of Ibadan.
He noted that Oba Olakunlehin’s ascension to the throne came at a time when Ibadanland needed a wise, experienced, and fatherly figure to steer the traditional institution toward greater progress.
The lawmaker commended the Olubadan for his unwavering commitment to preserving the customs and values of Ibadan, as well as his support for development and harmony across the land.
Senator Alli prayed that Almighty God would continue to bless the Olubadan with sound health, uncommon wisdom, and many more years on the throne.
He wished the monarch a joyous celebration of both his 90th birthday and coronation anniversary.
