Senate President Ahmad Lawan, on Tuesday, read President Muhammadu Buhari’s letter for supplementary budget.
The letter was read to the senators during plenary.
Buhari is seeking Senate approval of supplementary budget containing N2.557trn for petroleum products subsidy from June to December 2022.
The sum of N443 billion was approved for subsidy on Petroleum products from January to June.
With the present request, the total amount stands at N3 trillion.
Buhari also wrote the Senate for a review of the Finance Act 2021.
